Wake up across from boat tops afloat at Mercia Marina. Beech Lodge is a calm two-bedroom retreat with a king master suite and roll-top bath, a flexible second room with king and single beds, and room for up to six. Walk the towpath, watch the boats, and settle in — soft landing after the drive. Holiday Lettings Beech Lodge sits in the quiet of Mercia Marina, just off Findern Lane in Willington — close enough to Derby for a day out, far enough to feel like you've properly got away. This is a two-bedroom lodge built for easy stays. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own en-suite with a roll-top bath — the sort of soak you plan the evening around. The second bedroom (shower side) has a king and a single, so couples, friends, or a small family can spread out without a scramble for space. A rollaway Z-bed is available on request if you need that extra berth; the lodge is insured for a maximum of six guests. Days here tend to find their own pace: coffee on the deck, a stroll around the marina, boats drifting past, then back for a bath and an early night. You're on the water's edge without being in the thick of anything loud — a marina escape that still feels like home. Cleaning is £79 per stay. Furry Friends Save on Kennel Fees £45 per stay up to 3. A really comfortable and well-presented lodge. Great location within the marina and very quiet at night. The WiFi was fast and reliable which was important for us as we were working remotely for part of the trip. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here with the family for a week in the school holidays. Kids loved being near the marina and the adults loved the space and comfort of the lodge. It's incredibly well equipped — we had everything we needed. Top marks.

Beech Lodge is an absolute gem. We came for our anniversary and it felt genuinely special — the décor is warm and luxurious without being over the top. The marina setting is peaceful and beautiful. Perfect getaway.

Lovely place, really dog-friendly which was the main thing for us. Our spaniel loved the towpath walks. The lodge had everything we needed and more. Parking right outside was a bonus. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

Celebrated our anniversary here. The lodge felt really special — clean, well-equipped, and the marina setting is just gorgeous at sunset. The local farm shop Rob recommended was a great find. Proper relaxing break.
